The Lost Bag
Tom lives in a small town and works in a bookshop. Every morning, he wakes up at seven, eats breakfast, and walks to work.One day, he was very tired because he did not sleep well. He left his house quickly and did not check his things.
On the way to work, Tom stopped at a café. He bought a coffee and sat near the window. He read messages on his phone and drank his coffee slowly.
After that, he stood up and left the café. He did not see his bag under the table.

When Tom arrived at the bookshop, he wanted to take his keys from the bag. Then he understood the problem. His bag was not with him.
Inside the bag were his wallet, his keys, his notebook, and a small gift for his mother. Tom felt nervous and cold inside.
First, he went back to the café. He walked fast and looked around.
When he came to the café, he asked the waiter about the bag. The waiter said that he did not see it.
Tom looked under the tables, near the chairs, and near the door. The bag was not there.
Tom felt very sad. He thought about his wallet and keys. He also thought about the gift for his mother. It was her birthday soon.
He did not know what to do next. After work, Tom decided to go to the police station.
On the way, his phone rang. It was an unknown number.
A woman spoke to him in a calm voice. She said that she found his bag in the café.
She saw his phone number in the notebook inside. The woman worked in a nearby office.
She took the bag because she was afraid someone could steal it. They agreed to meet near the café.
When Tom saw the bag in her hands, he smiled. Everything was inside. Nothing was lost.
Tom said thank you many times. He felt very happy and relieved.
That evening, Tom went home slowly. He thought about the day and smiled.
He learned an important lesson: when you are tired, you must slow down and check your things. Sometimes, losing something helps you become more careful in the future.
