The film is based on the 1990 novel of the same name by Michael Crichton and is known for its groundbreaking special effects, its thrilling action sequences, and its themes of science and ethics. «Jurassic Park» follows the story of Dr. Alan Grant, a paleontologist, and Dr. Ellie Sattler, a paleobotanist, who are invited to visit the mysterious and remote Isla Nublar by John Hammond, a wealthy businessman who has created a theme park featuring living dinosaurs. Hammond’s company, InGen, has been able to recreate the dinosaurs using ancient DNA extracted from mosquitoes that were preserved in amber. As the scientists explore the park, they are accompanied by Hammond’s lawyer, Donald Gennaro, and Hammond’s grandkids, Lex and Tim. However, things quickly go awry when they discover that the park’s security systems have been compromised by a group of rogue employees who have sabotaged the park in an attempt to steal some of the valuable dinosaurs. As the group struggles to survive and escape the island, they are pursued and threatened by a variety of dangerous and terrifying dinosaurs, including the T. rex, Velociraptors, and Pteranodons. Along the way, they are aided by Hammond’s chief engineer, Ray Arnold, and his computer programmer, Dennis Nedry, who are stranded on the island and are attempting to repair the damaged systems. As they fight to survive and find a way off the island, the group must confront their own flaws and limitations and consider the ethical implications of the technology that has brought them there. In the end, they are able to escape the island and return to the mainland, where they must confront the consequences of their actions and the lessons that they have learned. «Jurassic Park» was a massive commercial and critical success and spawned a number of sequels and spin-off media.
