Tom lives in a small town near the river. Every Saturday he goes to the local market in the morning. Last Saturday he woke up early and felt calm. He ate a simple breakfast and drank a cup of tea. Then he took a bag and walked to the market street.
The market opened at eight and many people came early. Tom saw farmers with fruit, bread, and fresh vegetables. He liked the smells and the quiet sounds of the place.
First he bought apples because they were cheap and red. The seller smiled and said hello to him. Tom answered and paid with small coins.

Next he went to a bread stand near the old tree. The baker offered warm bread from the oven. Tom bought one loaf and thanked the baker.
After that he looked for milk and eggs. He met his neighbor Anna near a small table. She asked about his family and his work. Tom answered shortly and listened to her story. They talked for a few minutes and then said goodbye.
Tom felt happy because the day stayed slow and simple. He walked home with full bags and a light heart. At home he cooked lunch and rested after the walk.
